WHAT WE NEED

A caring, active listener

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

A good therapist starts by listening and then draws on experience and training to guide their client to a positive solution. Our EAP Therapists do that in targeted fashion as support for employers. Guiding managers through tricky job performance evaluations. Helping individuals find resources for additional treatment. Running group counseling sessions as needed. Are you ready to wear these different hats?

¬

Are you an attentive listener? Do you take pride in your sound, unbiased judgment? Do you enjoy variety in your job? We'd love to talk to you about our needs in this position.¬

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Possess clinical judgment to determine if client's needs would be best served by more long term treatment outside of the EAP.

  • Consult with mangers/supervisors regarding unsatisfactory job performance problems and guide them through the EAP referral process.

  • Demonstrate effective crisis intervention techniques with individuals as well as in a group setting to diffuse the situation and/or triage individuals to the appropriate level of care indicated by the emergency.

  • Provide information and education to employees, their dependents, the Hospital and contractual workgroups to ensure all are aware of their EAP benefits.

  • Participate in multidisciplinary clinical staffing to problem solve and further develop and update client treatment plans. Attend scheduled department meetings.

  • Develop a professional relationship with network and non-network treatment providers to coordinate continuity of care for current and referred clients.

WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED

  • Meet all health requirements in a timely manner.

  • Maintain appropriate legal and ethical standards as specified by self, Franciscan Health and state licensure guidelines.

  • Good listening skills, paying close attention to both verbal and body language from the clients that we serve.

  • Be attentive to the needs of others.
